Listening to music evolves day by day, and even musical genres change sometimes even only by contaminating one another and creating small variations that become real musical genres over time. The Chillout genre, born from above all acoustic and melodic sounds, over the years has undergone innumerable contaminations, transforming itself with the most diverse technological and genre influences. Right now the most interesting fusion is with electronic music, Hip Hop and the jazz that created the genres ChillHop and JazzHop.
This LO FI JAZZY CHILL is a selection of these new sounds!

"Lo-Fi Jazz Beats: Urban Chillout Music" is an album that combines the mellow, soothing tones of lo-fi music with elements of jazz. It's designed for relaxation and ease, featuring laid-back rhythms and smooth jazz influences, ideal for creating a chilled urban ambiance.

The Legendary Shack Shakers (originally Those or Th' ) are an American rockabilly/blues band that formed in Paducah, Kentucky in the mid-1990s. They are inspired by rock 'n roll, country blues, old time music, carnival music, swamp rock, and other obscure Southern music genres. The band originally had a traditional rockabilly sound, but later began to rely more on its rock 'n roll and "southern gothic" influences. This punky Southern hillbilly band's secret weapon is its front man, the mercurial "Colonel" J.D. Wilkes, who takes no prisoners with his ferocious harmonica playing and raspy vocals. This live album shows the band in its element, performing breathless high-octane rockabilly filtered through a Southern gothic sensibility. But there's a steely professionalism beneath the seeming chaos, with songs like "Rollin' in My Sweet Baby's Arms" and "Ghost Riders in the Sky" propelled by lightning-fast guitar runs as well as Wilkes's deranged yelling.

Lets just say that Jeffrey Halford's feel for blues, soul, country and rock n roll is something you have got to hear. Lo-Fi dreams focuses on organic live performances where you can feel the warmth of the tubes up in your throat. Dirty linen called Halford "Hemingway armed with a swampy blues guitar."

More early recordings including demo recordings, early mixes of album tracks and songs I can't even remember recording! The album spans the years 1998 to 2003. Like the first volume much of the album was mastered from cassette tapes, so there's a bit of tape hiss and a few drop outs. The songs are somewhat imperfect, but they represent an important place in time for me and I hope you enjoy them.

You could be sitting there wondering why Mississippi releases such a huge amount of records by Michael Hurley (this is our 8th). To put it as mildly as we can - Hurley is by and large one of the greatest song writers of all time and we consider it an important part of our mission to get the world aware of his awesome talent. Here we have Hurley's latest batch of home recordings and believe me when I say they are some of his best songs ever. It's unusual for a man 50 years into his recording career to come up with some of his greatest songs yet, but here 'tis.

The Wait is over for fans everywhere of Portugal's funk fiddler Mr Bird as the long awaited Lo-Fi Classics, his collaboration with honey-voiced blue-eyed-soul warbler Greg Blackman, has arrived. Aside from first single "Since You've Been Gone" highlights include the perky Stax-style ditty "The Morning's Coming", the Afro-soul percussion masterclass "Get On Through" and the deep disco instrumental "GB's Groove".
