"Wanna Make Love" is the debut album by Dayton, Ohio funk band Sun. Originally released as Live On, Dream On in 1976 but was re-released by Capitol several months later as Wanna Make Love due to the success of the single "Wanna Make Love".

Though Rogers achieved success at the tail end of the '60s with his band The First Edition, it wasn't until he fully crossed over into the Country market that international fame came calling. Ironically, his move away from the Pop charts actually brought him more success once Country Music began to crossover into the same market he had initially given up on. This set contains the albums Gideon (1980) and Share Your Love (1981). Includes 'Don't Fall In Love With A Dreamer' (a duet with Kim Carnes), 'Lady', 'Makes Me Wonder If I Ever Said Goodbye' and more.

"A Fantasy Love Affair" is the debut album by Peter Brown. The album was recorded in 1976-77. It was mastered by Ted Jensen of Sterling Sound. It charted #9 on Billboard's R&B charts and #11 on the Pop chart. It was successful on the disco charts as well and spawned four singles, three of which were hits, including Do Ya Wanna Get Funky With Me and Dance With Me. In the UK the album was titled "Do You Wanna Get Funky With Me" and featured a backlit silhouette of a nude woman standing in a window as its sleeve cover.

The purveyors of the past at Collectors' Choice Music deserve major props for their top-shelf restoration of the 5th Dimension's Soul City and Bell Records catalogs. Contained on this CD are the vocal quintet's fifth and six studio titles, 1970's Portrait and 1971's Love's Lines, Angles and Rhymes. These projects find the 5D boasting the considerable talents of Lamonte McLemore, Ron Townson, Billy Davis, Jr., Marilyn McCoo, and Florence Larue at the peak of their prowess, building upon a streak of pop hits that had already yielded such timeless entries as "Stoned Soul Picnic," "Wedding Bell Blues," and the definitive '60s anthem "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In (The Flesh Failures)."

Two of Nancy Wilson's more fascinating, if less commercially successful '70s sets - 1971's Kaleidoscope and 1973's I Know I Love Him - are reissued on this release from David Nathan's Soul Music label. Kaleidoscope features knockout versions of "If I Were Your Woman," popularized by Gladys Knight & the Pips, and Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine." On the later album, Wilson is backed by the Crusaders with arranging and conducting from Don Sebesky. It's a deep gem - laid-back but resonant late-night listening for serious fans of any of the involved. A.
