Da tempo sono convinto che la via giusta per intendere la genesi dei poemi omerici sia quella indicata dall’analisi, quale è stata praticata soprattutto in Germania nel secolo XIX e all’inizio del XX. Per questo motivo ho intrapreso un’indagine sistematica dell’Iliade e dell’Odissea, cercando di determinare quali epe siano confluiti nei due poemi e come essi siano stati riordinati dai vari Bearbeiter.
