The Electric Light Orchestra were one of the biggest and most successful bands of the late 1970s, producing a massive string of hit singles and albums that almost any other band would envy.

Live at Winterland '76 is a live album by the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) released in 1998. Recorded in 1976 during the band's Face the Music Tour, this album, along with 1974's The Night the Light Went On in Long Beach are two official releases of the band performing live. Electric Light Orchestra was at the top of their game when this concert was recorded. The band was right in the middle of a run of Top 10 hits that started in 1973 (with their second LP, ELO II), and continued throughout the rest of the '70s.
