Julius Reubke (March 23, 1834 – June 3, 1858) was a German composer, pianist and organist. In his short life — he died at the age of 24 — he composed the Sonata on the 94th Psalm, in C minor, which was and still is considered one of the greatest organ works in the repertoire…
…This disc is definitely not for the listener who turns to Piazzolla to find immersion in the dark mood of Buenos Aires at the zero hour, but it is recommended to those following the still-evolving understanding of this unique creative figure of the twentieth century.
“The Duo Sonare presents recording premieres of guitar music by Mauro Giuliano and Ferdinando Carulli on historical instruments: arrangements of compositions by Mozart and fascinating original works by these two contemporaries of his.”

~FonoForum
Frank Bungarten holds a special position amongst concert guitarists of today. On the one hand, through his artistic stance, he belongs to the ‘Old School’, loyal to original works and uncompromising in his search for truth in music. On the other hand, wide and sustained success has brought him recognition far beyond the confines of the ‘guitar world’. (…)2005 Frank Bungarten was honoured with the “Echo Klassik” as “Instrumentalist of the Year” for his CD “Cancion y Danza”.
