We hear you Janice. It’s the same dilemma when your much-loved LP compilation series decides to visit somewhere exotic and different. You need an invite, a guide. Fortunately for us, and you, for Too Slow to Disco Brasil we’ve been escorted to the Brazilian AOR party by one of the very best, a certain Mr Ed Motta.

80 delivers the incessant action of classic 1980s television and movie scores. Swirling strings, dramatic woodwinds and punchy brass, alongside complementary analog FM synths recorded in the same hall.

Cock Robin is an US pop rock band, mostly popular in the 1980s, particularly in continental Europe, where it achieved major success, notably with the single "The Promise You Made". The band was founded by singer-songwriter Peter Kingsbery in 1982, disbanded in 1990, and reformed in 2006. First Love/Last Rites is the third album by Cock Robin and was released in 1989 in Europe and 1990 in the USA.

After 8 years at the Toulon (south of France) Conservatory, Christophe La Pinta finds in the study of percussion the means to quench his curiosity. In parallel with his classical training, he multiplies rock and pop training and styles on drums, then continues his studies with musicology studies and a specialization in ethnic music. The big leap came in 1995, when he won a competition and went to Los Angeles to join Mike Post, a composer of cult series (Magnum PI, The A-Team, NYPD Blue…). The sustained rhythm of writing inherent in the format, the urgency sometimes, it opens up in the most beautiful way to working with the image.

The dramatic and sublime The Song of the Silver Geese is vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Jen Shyu's magnum opus. On it Shyu draws from her dual cultural ancestry as well as other east Asian heritages to craft memorable performance art replete with dynamic spontaneity, unique instrumentation and exquisite poetry. The nine-piece suite is divided into "doors" and each segment brims with a mystical ambience and a surreal air.
