A song, well played and passionately sung, has a life of its own that goes beyond genre and temporary musical fashion. The songs on Maya Rae’s new release, ‘Can You See Me?’ are timeless and universal.

It is difficult to believe Maya is 14 years old. Her vocalizing is versatile, inventive. Her originals sophisticated. She sounds very mature, making her age seem irrelevant. Maya uses her music to give back to her community. She has performed for Nepal Earthquake Victims, at an anti-bullying campaign, and a personal initiative for two Syrian refugee families. She helped raise more than $20,000.

Maya Beiser, the "reigning queen of the avant-garde cello" (The Washington Post), presents this new release, TranceClassical. A very personal project, Maya says of this album, "TranceClassical started from a washed-out still photo in my mind- me, as a little girl curled with a blanket on my parents' sofa, hearing Bach for the first time, hanging on to every mysterious note coming out of the scratchy LP… the pieces I bring here give me a sense of trance- a reverie and meditation on his place in my heart."

CRD Records releases violinist Maya Magub's album Canons on 7 October 2022. The album comprises Telemann's Six Canonic Sonatas and Mozart's Canons and Puzzle Canons. Maya is joined on the album by violinists Ben Jacobson, Marianne Thorsen and Jonathan Morton, with Jonathan Moerschel, viola and Richard Harwood, 'cello (CRD 3542).

The Amsterdam jazz singer Ilse Huizinga has made six albums up to now. Here's to You Maya Angelou is her latest pitch, an album with new compositions for which composer and pianist Erik van der Luijt wrote the music, while the artist browsed through the oeuvre of the American author and poet Maya Angelou (deceased in 2014). In The Jazz Singer, the Ultimate Guide by Scott Yanow, Ilse Huizinga is rated among the 500 best international jazz vocalists, and that is reason enough to listen to her latest album.

Welcomed on the Blue Note label from 2022 in the collective album Blue Note Re:imagined II inviting a sample of artists from the new British scene to revisit some themes drawn from her catalog (in this case Neil Young's Harvest Moon in Cassandra Wilson's cover) — the London guitarist, singer, songwriter Maya Delilah took her time to develop and refine her debut album but the wait was worth it.
