Ceramic-matrix composites (CMCs) possess high specific strength and specific modulus and have already been applied in hot-section components of aeroengines. The book focuses on the design, fabrication and testing of different CMC components, e.g., turbine guide vanes, combustor liner, and turbine blisk, etc. The high-temperature mechanical properties, and performance requirements of the aeroengines were also introduced.
