Know is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriter Jason Mraz. The album was released on August 10, 2018 by Atlantic Records. The album is a further collaboration between Jason Mraz and the members of indie-rock-folk band Raining Jane: Mai Bloomfield, Becky Gebhardt, Chaska Potter and Mona Tavakoli, with whom Mraz has been working since 2007, and who were his backing band on his previous album Yes!. The band returns to back him on Know and helped in writing a number of songs as well. The album peaked at number 9 on the US Billboard 200 chart. The bulk of the album was written against the backdrop of the 2016 Presidential election and it's aftermath, and Mraz found himself writing a lot of "frustrated, angry, even sad songs, but nothing I wanted to sing." Instead he has chosen to convey an uplifting, positive message. Know. Was produced by Andrew Wells, who brings an organic and groovy feel to the album's classic, acoustic rock sound. Mraz has won two Grammy Awards and received two additional nominations, and has also won two Teen Choice Awards, a People's Choice Award and the Hal David Songwriters Hall of Fame Award. He has earned Platinum and multi-Platinum certifications in over 20 countries, and has toured in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and parts of Africa.

When Bob Dylan dropped Time Out of Mind in 1997, it was a rollicking rockabilly and blues record, full of sad songs about mortality, disappointment, and dissolution. 2001 brought Love and Theft, which was also steeped in stomping blues and other folk forms. It was funny, celebratory in places and biting in others. Dylan has been busy since then: he did a Victoria's Secret commercial, toured almost nonstop, was in a couple films – Larry Charles' Masked and Anonymous and Martin Scorsese's documentary No Direction Home – and published the first of a purported three volumes of his cagey, rambling autobiography, Chronicles. Lately, he's been thinking about Alicia Keys.

Rescue Me was the final Roy Buchanan (guitar) studio album under his deal with Polydor Records. But, a loophole allowed the company control of his catalog outside of North America. Thus, a similar eight-song collection that bears the moniker In the Beginning (1974) is the U.S. equivalent. Buchanan's inimitable manipulation of the strings and equally definitive skills as an interpretive voice are without question the most cohesive factor on this otherwise limiting affair…

Big Joe Williams may have been the most cantankerous human being who ever walked the earth with guitar in hand. At the same time, he was an incredible blues musician: a gifted songwriter, a powerhouse vocalist, and an exceptionally idiosyncratic guitarist. Despite his deserved reputation as a fighter (documented in Michael Bloomfield's bizarre booklet Me and Big Joe), artists who knew him well treated him as a respected elder statesman. Even so, they may not have chosen to play with him, because as with other older Delta artists if you played with him you played by his rules.
