Peppy Castro ! Considered to be one of the early pioneers of the Psychedelic Garage band rock era has done it all. He is a successful seasoned professional with great variety in his music! His fame and 1st hit record began at the age of 17 as one of the founding fathers of the legendary rock group," The Blues Magoos”. His rock and roll status led him to a starring role in the original Broadway Production of Hair. His songs have been recorded by the likes of Diana Ross, Kiss and Cher, among others. He is also Emmy nominated and an award-winning playwright and multi-instrumentalist, having penned and or performed hundreds of well-known jingles for decades. Budweiser, Chevy, Bounty, Nestlé’s Crunch, Kodak, etc. The list is endless. His potent vocals have appeared on numerous platinum records for well known recording artists.

This Japanese edition features the UK original cover design with eight-panel sleeve, including an inner bag. Also features regular edition cardboard sleeve. CD features remastering using the 1975 original UK stereo master. Hawkwind's fifth studio album found the band enjoying a rare oasis of stability after the multitudinous personnel shifts of the past five years. Only the recruitment of a second drummer, Alan Powell, disturbed the equanimity of the lineup that created the previous year's Hall of the Mountain Grill, although it would soon be time to change again.

Perhaps no opera is closely and affectionately associated with a single house as Le nozze di Figaro is with Glyndebourne. Effortlessly witty yet shot through with pain and sadness, this deeply ambivalent life in the day of masters and servants as they scheme and outwit one another was Glyndebourne's opening production in 1934. Michael Grandage's staging is the seventh, set in a louche Sixties ambience. Marshalled by the 'ideal pacing of Robin Ticciati, a youthful cast of principals has 'no weak link' and 'looks gorgeous' (The Sunday Times) in a production that continues Glyndebourne's rewarding history of engagement with Mozart's and da Ponte's 'day of madness'.

After their impressive debut in 2010 'Neo Gothic Progressive Toccatas' comes another slice of pipe organ heaven from this Italian band. Its strictly a trio format (although two different drummers are used) and all 'instrumental' over its 7 tracks and running time of 50 odd minutes. I'm not a classical music lover so this is as close to actually listening to that genre I will ever get. For those familiar with the debut this is not quite as 'raw'. I think they have tried to make the sound a bit softer and introduced synths into the mix which if I recollect correctly were not present on the debut. At times it reminds me of the Japanese trio Ars Nova especially on the more energetic sections.
