Linda Eder's second album was in effect a follow-up to the 1992 studio cast album of composer Frank Wildhorn's The Scarlet Pimpernel, even repeating a track, "I'll Forget You," from that release. Wildhorn co-produced And So Much More with the singer and wrote or co-wrote eight of its 13 tracks. Eder and Wildhorn conceived of her as a personality singer in the tradition of Barbra Streisand (her vocal timbre inescapably recalled Streisand, but so did her phrasing, which meant the similarity was intended), and the songs tended to be lush, dramatic ballads that gave her plenty of opportunity to emote. For a change of pace, Wildhorn threw in a couple of neo-swing exercises.

Zebra is a Hard rock band founded in 1975 in New Orleans, Louisiana. It features Randy Jackson (guitar and vocals), Felix Hanemann (bass, keyboards and vocals) and Guy Gelso (drums and vocals). Their mainstream debut on Atlantic Records was in 1983 with their eponymous album, produced by Jack Douglas and highlighted by the singles "Tell Me What You Want" and "Who's Behind The Door". Zebra got their start on the US East Coast club circuit, frequently playing at clubs on Long Island, NY.

Nicki was the recipient of two awards, a scholarship to Pan Pacific Music Camps at the age of 16, and first place in the 1992 Jazz Action Society’s Annual Song Competition for her composition “Come and Get It”, which is the opening track of Nicki and her sister Lisa’s debut CD, “Awabakal Suite”. She was also nominated for the annual Australian Young Achievers Award by the Arts Council of Australia who granted her the funds to come to New York to study with Rufus Reid. Nicki came to New York in May 1994.
