" contains three classic musique concrète compositions from Michel Chion. All were produced at the GRM in Paris (the acousmatic headquarters of the world). The itself is an electronic take on the traditional form. is a ‘technical study’ which takes an original waltz theme and fragments it. is considered a ‘monodrama’ — that is, a drama centering around one ‘character.’ In this case what we hear are the detached reactions of this ‘character’ to a nightmare. It’s French, it’s acousmatic… what more could you ask for?"
Eddy Arnold moved hillbilly music to the city, creating a sleek sound that relied on his smooth voice and occasionally lush orchestrations. In the process, he became the most popular country performer of the 20th century, spending more weeks at the top of the charts than any other artist.

Optical Image is a project by Dutch composer Tom Habes, who developed quite an original, cinematic and overall fresh sounding style of electronic music. Tom refers to the music of his debut "Treasure Point" (1993) as a journey of images and moods allowing the listener to generate his own impressions. The CD contains eight transparent and dreamy compositions, featuring a nice marriage of melodic, rhythmic and sequenced music in which certain flavours of his soundtrack and library music already surface between the notes.
With "Another Treasure Point" (1997), Tom Habes reflects on the music of his successful debut "Treasure Point", delivering a fine melodic outcome…
An excellent budget compilation of the wonderful Bethlehem Records label - what a roster of artists they had. Very good sound too. The Bethlehem label focused on jazz releases, and this set collects some great examples of jazz–vocally and instrumentally–between the years 1958-62. One look at the artists on this 60 track 2 CD set shows how many fine artists released music on the label. Like other collections from One Day Music, there's no booklet, only a short paragraph about the label and a few of the featured artists. The digitally remastered sound is good overall within the limits of recording styles of the era.
Our first studies about the music culture of Syriacs dates back to the years with 1980s. The first ideas for the creation of the album that you hold developed in year 1996. Although the album was included in the publication program of Kalan Miizik, unfortunately, the necessary preparations could not be completed and thus the album could not reach you. As a result of the difficult and tiresome works that we have been carrying out for about a year, the Album of Syriac Music comprising of two CDs and a booklet was created.
