Elemental Music proudly presents this remastered edition of the best kept secret of the Spanish Jazz-Rock/Fusion scene: Iberia, the second and last album of the underrated band Música Urbana. Founded in 1976 by renowned Spanish composer Joan Albert Amargós, Música Urbana was a Barcelona-based supergroup which included members of the prog rock band Maquina! (pioneers of the Spanish underground rock panorama) and other important musicians from the Spanish Jazz scene, such as Carles Benavent (former bassist with Miles Davis, Chick Corea, Paco de Luca and Camarn de la Isla, among others). Released in 1978 by RCA Victor, Iberia masterfully fuses Jazz Rock with contemporary classical and traditional Spanish music. It can be considered one of the best Spanish albums of that decade.
The reissue of a great, classic, wonderful Spanish progressive album. Feliu is a guitarist who plays only Spanish guitar, while Joan Albert, the leader of the equally great Musica Urbana, performs on acoustic piano, Fender Rhodes piano, clavinet and Moog synthesizer. Recorded in 1977, released on Edigsa and always hard to find, it is reissued here from the master tapes for the very first time! Musically very active and intricate and filled with great melodic passages, yet also very stripped down and open, allowing the listener to really get inside and hear all the details. Then, on the last track, Murica Urbana and guests join them for a rocking finish!

Carles Benavent was born in 1954 in the Poblé Sec neighborhood in Barcelona. A totally self taught jazz bassist, he founded the group, "Música Urbana" with whom he recorded two albums. He came to create a new form of playing the electric bass "Flamenco style", using the pick to create a special type of alzapúa (style of plucking the strings with the finger and pick). He is one of the priveleged geniuses that is sought out by a long list of artists such as Chick Corea, Miles Davis and Paco de Lucía (to name a few), and with the ladder he recorded "Paco de Lucía interperpreta a Manuel de Falla". Since then the interaction between the two musicians has been consistent and fruitful.
Acoustic MTV is a live album by Gilberto Gil, released in 1994 as part of the MTV Acoustic series. Between the tracks are old compositions of the musician and novelties. For being one of the first in the series, produced by MTV Brazil, did not have on the cover, the logo of the broadcaster or the symbol of 'Acoustic MTV', since it followed the pattern of the North American series of 'MTV Unplugged'. Where he brought only the artist in question, in the classic image, stool and guitar, with the other musicians in the background, reading only 'Gilberto Gil Unplugged'.
