My Generation

The legendary debut album by one of rock’s greatest bands is finally remixed, expanded and seriously updated. Released as "The Who Sings My Generation" in the U.S. with one track change months after being issued in the U.K. as simply "My Generation", this classic album has never been previously released in real stereo anywhere and has never been remastered from the original masters. With the release of this special Deluxe Edition, these problems are resolved, and the package has now been expanded from its original twelve tracks to 30. There are 6 previously unreleased tracks, and the album’s minimal graphics have been expanded exponentially and include three sets of liner notes.

"My Generation" is the debut album by The Who and was released in 1965 to great acclaim. Hailed by critics as one of the best rock albums of all time, it included hit songs such as "My Generation" and "The Kids Are Alright".

My Generation is the debut studio album by English rock band the Who. Besides the members of the Who, being Roger Daltrey (vocals), Pete Townshend (guitar), John Entwistle (bass) and Keith Moon (drums), the album features contributions by session musicians Nicky Hopkins (piano) and Jimmy Page (guitar) and vocal group the Ivy League. While it didn't sell as well as later albums, peaking at #5 on the UK charts and failing to chart in the US, critics have since retrospectively rated it as one of the best rock albums of all time, especially noting its hard sound unusual for the time, and presaging various hard rock styles such as punk and heavy metal.

When you think about events in a generation it usually reflects the environment surrounding itself, even if the name dennotes something unrefined and unused. This band has promise and doesn't waste a single moment to wallow in its proverbial status as an unrecognizable and or lost generation. The fact is that all these gentlemen hail from a country, Italy, not known as being a jazz powerhouse; they overcome a large uphill battle and in my opinion are at the top of the hill with a select few in this so called wasted gereration. This music perfectly demonstrates what the energy and sound of the time is. You will get a glimpse in this hour long performance at genius level that will most certainly will not have been a waste.

"Diamonds And Pearls" is Prince's thirteenth studio album - and it was also the first with his new backing band The New Power Generation.

"New Generation" is the third and final single from the album Dog Man Star by English rock band Suede, released on 30 January 1995 through Nude Records.

Our protagonist, the trombonist Clemens Gottwald, already thought of the fact that he is number 101 in the series: "I had the idea to do something with Dalmatians, but somehow I couldn't think of anything right."

This release covers some of the greatest and most memorable songs that defined the leading edge of the counter-culture baby-boomers in the 60s, the "Now Generation". The collection comes courtesy of Countdown Media's restoration of the master tapes from renowned legacy label, Ashire/Somerset.
