Lecture Notes in Analog Electronics: Noise in Electronic Circuits and Low Noise Amplifier Design

Lecture Notes in Analog Electronics: Noise in Electronic Circuits and Low Noise Amplifier Design by Vančo Litovski
English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2024 | 217 Pages | ISBN : 9819989043 | 37.7 MB

This book discusses unified noise models of the broadest set of electronic components including, resistors, diodes, all types of transistors, and most types of opto-electronic devices. The noise, however, is a phenomenon which is inherent to any technology. It is omnipresent. It is obstructing every application and in many cases special actions must be undertaken to recognize the main function’s signal in the mistiness of the noise. The number of types of noise sources in electronics is almost unlimited. The book offers unique comprehensive approach to noise analysis in electronic circuits based on modified nodal analysis and the superposition theorem. It also encompasses a broadest set of low noise amplifier design procedures covering BJT, MOSET, MESFET, and HEMT technologies.

Noise Sources in Turbulent Shear Flows: Fundamentals and Applications

Noise Sources in Turbulent Shear Flows: Fundamentals and Applications by Roberto Camussi
English | PDF | 2013 | 453 Pages | ISBN : 3709114578 | 9.5 MB

The articles in this volume present the state-of-the-art in noise prediction, modeling and measurement. The articles are partially based on class notes provided during the course `Noise sources in turbulent shear flows', given at CISM on April 2011. The first part contains general concepts of aero acoustics, including vortex sound theory and acoustic analogies, in the second part particular emphasis is put into arguments of interest for engineers and relevant for aircraft design: jet noise, airfoil broadband noise, boundary layer noise (including interior noise and its control) and the concept of noise sources, their theoretical modeling and identification in turbulent lows. All these arguments are treated extensively with the inclusion of many practical examples and references to engineering applications.

Minimizing of Automotive Transmission Rattle Noise by Means of Gear Oils: Lubrication for Improved Properties

Minimizing of Automotive Transmission Rattle Noise by Means of Gear Oils: Lubrication for Improved Properties by Axel Baumann
English | PDF,EPUB | 2022 | 157 Pages | ISBN : 3658377070 | 34.5 MB

Caused by downsizing of combustion engines, the torque fluctuation at the crankshaft induces torsional vibrations in the powertrain. Manual transmissions and dual clutch transmissions are particularly sensitive to gear-rattle noise. Gear-rattle noise arises from oscillations of loose parts with clearance, e.g. idler gears, synchronizer rings and gearshift sleeves. The aim of this research is the formulation of a gear oil for the application in a manual transmission to minimize gear rattling noise. Acoustic measurements on a gear-rattle noise test bench verify the noise reduction of the developed gear oils with commonly used low oil viscosity.
