Roberto Carlos Braga (Portuguese pronunciation:[ʁoˈbɛɾtu ˈkaɾlus]; born April 19, 1941) is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, also known as King of Latin Music or simply The King.
Most of his songs are written in partnership with his friend, singer and songwriter Erasmo Carlos (no relation). Roberto Carlos has sold over 140 million albums around the world. He is considered one of the most influential artists in Brazil, being cited as a source of inspiration by many artists and bands. His net worth is estimated at US$160 million.

As with the other entries in the Magna Carta Prime Cuts series, the Steve Morse edition collects several standout recordings that the guitarist played on for the label. While this ten-track release (the last track being a video interview) should in no way, shape, or form be considered a Morse overview – not a single track from his Dixie Dregs or Deep Purple eras is included (as well as nada from most of his solo recordings) – Prime Cuts does serve as a kind of "unconventional taster" of Morse's playing. For example, you get a simply shredding rendition of Rush's never-ending instrumental "La Villa Strangiato," as well as some nifty acoustic guitar diddling on Yes' "The Clap." And while they may not be the best-known solo cuts from his career, tracks such as "Heightened Awareness" and "Busybodies" are indeed worthy showcases of Morse's vast guitar talents.

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Heart was actually formed in 1963 by bassist Steve Fossen and brothers Roger Fisher and Mike Fisher; initially dubbed the Army, they later became White Heart before settling on simply Heart at the beginning of the '70s. After her arrival in the group, Ann became romantically involved with guitarist Mike Fisher.
