You’ve found the modern, sophisticated style of Second Story. Recording and performing in the Philadelphia region from 1996-2004, this female-fronted quintet created a truly original brand of music. Often called “Neo-Prog” or “Sympho” – their unique brand of pop/rock blurs the line between commercial, “radio-ready” rock and a more progressive, conceptual sound. Combining elements from lush pop to progressive rock, with electronic and hard rock mixed in for good measure, Second Story created music that was impossible to pigeon-hole – and wowed audiences with their technical and note-perfect shows. It’s progressive music for people who don’t think they like progressive music. “Thin Twisting Line” is the long-awaited second album from Second Story. Original recording sessions began in 2001, but many unfortunate roadblocks and delays befell the band, which meant that it was not released while we were still performing.
Ultimate R&B: 72 of the biggest R&B hits and hard to find rarities across 4 CDs, all housed in a fold out cardboard digi-pack sleeve. This is the best R&B album to hit the shops lately. Including Sean Paul, Joe, R Kelly and many other legends, it also includes some of the lesser known artists. I don't usually buy this music but gave it a try and was not dissapointed with it. The whole album is fantastic to listen to. I think it would be a great buy for R&B lovers AND people who don't normally buy this kind of music.

Left to his own devices, Prince will indulge in his peculiar vice of releasing triple-albums. He celebrated his freedom from Warner with Emancipation, following that with another triple-disc in Crystal Ball, which just happened to be the provisional title of the scrapped three-LP iteration of 1987's Sign o' the Times, he had a triple-live set in 2002, and now he's navigating the rough waters of online distribution and exclusive contracts with big box retailers in 2009 with another triple-disc set called LotusFlow3r…
It’s an appropriate name for a Holober-led band; in many ways, Holober’s management of his many musical inspirations is a balancing act. On one hand, much of what he’s best known for is his work with larger ensembles like the WDR Big Band, the HR Big Band, and the Gotham Jazz Orchestra, whose latest work with Holober at the helm, Hiding Out, earned a 2020 GRAMMY® nomination. On the other, there’s the magnetism of even greater self-actualization, of writing for and leading a smaller group.
