In the annals of rock music, there are few singers who have such an expressive voice as Dan McCafferty. As the charismatic frontman of the Scottish band Nazareth, McCafferty has been involved in more than 25 albums, released hits such as 'Love Hurts', 'Dream On', 'This Flight Tonight' and 'Morning Dew' and toured all over the world. After a unique career of 50 years, Dan McCafferty passed away on November 8, 2022 at the age of 76. His name will be remembered, his great songs will continue to be played on countless rock radio stations around the world. Undiscovered musical treasures were kept in McCafferty's private home archives. Some of them can now be found on the posthumous homage: 'No Turning Back - In Memory of Dan McCafferty'.
According to the obituary written by his son Carl Philip Emmanuel and his former pupil Johann Friedrich Agricola, Johann Sebastian Bach composed five Passions, including “one for two choirs” (the St Matthew Passion). However, only two of them have survived in their entirety. A third one, the St Mark Passion, has given rise to various reconstructions, and the last two, if they at all existed, are irretrievably lost. Of the two Passions that have come down to us, the St John Passion was the first to be composed; Bach had it performed for the first time in the St Nicholas Church less than a year after taking up his post in Leipzig, on 7 April 1724 (he had taken the liberty of announcing it to the St Thomas Church, which earned him a reprimand; he got away with a somewhat ironic letter of apology).
'Trapped' is a no-compromise album including eleven original tracks plus their version of Deep Purple's 'Perfect Strangers'. Dario Mollo is an Italian guitarist/producer with a career which started in 1981, with the Heavy Metal band Crossbones, followed by albums with musical giants Tony Martin (Black Sabbath), Graham Bonnet (Rainbow, MSG), Don Airey (Rainbow, Ozzy, Deep Purple) and Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple). After participating in several local bands, Carl Sentance replaced John Deverill as a vocalist in the NWOBHM band Persian Risk, following which he received an offer to join Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath) as lead singer in his solo project. The collaboration lasted from 1986 to 1988. In 2015 Carl became the new singer for the legendary rock band Nazareth after founding member Dan McCafferty had to retire due to illness. More recently Carl has recorded Nazareth's latest studio album 'Surviving The Law'.
