Nazim Hikmet

“Il Nuvolo innamorato” raccoglie tutte le fiabe che Nâzim Hikmet scrisse durante la seconda metà degli anni Cinquanta e nasce dalle memorie d'infanzia dell'autore, dal ricordo della nonna che raccontava antiche storie, ma anche da un'attenta e appassionata lettura del materiale folclorico del suo Paese. Il risultato è una silloge di racconti dalla sorprendente e limpida bellezza, in cui vivono principesse e "nuvoli" capaci di amare, contadini sciocchi e ragazzi furbi, maghi crudeli e ragazze astute. Sono perle di saggezza, di poesia e di umorismo solo apparentemente lontane dall'opera e dall'impegno politico del celebre poeta turco. Ma non stupisca questa incursione nel meraviglioso da parte di uno scrittore per il quale «la letteratura, in ciascuno dei suoi generi, comincia con la fiaba e con la fiaba finisce».

Born in 1935 in Istanbul, Tülay German graduated from Üsküdar American High School in 1965. She appeared for the first time on stage in Ankara and made her name heard as a jazz singer between 1960 and 1962, performing jazz songs for a weekly program on Istanbul Radio.Making “Polyphonic Turkish Pop Music” with Erdem Buri, German was chosen as the “most loved singer by critics” in 1964 at the Balkan Melodies Festival. At the time, she recorded the album “Burçak Tarlası,” widely regarded as the first hit song in Turkish pop music history.German went to Paris in 1966 to make an album and made 10 albums. She also attended radio and television programs and festivals in France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Tunisia, Morocco, the Netherlands and Brazil.One of the Turkish-language albums that she produced in France even won the Charles Cros Academy 1981 Album Grand Award.During the latter years of her career, she made an album titled “Respect for Nâzım Hikmet,” an ode to one Turkey’s greatest-ever poets, and pulled down the curtain on her musical career with a concert in the Netherlands in 1987.

in 1976, Igüs became a member of “Dostlar Korosu“ between the years 1976-1980. In the same years, he also appeared in several association choirs. In 1981, he started the band “Ezginin Günlügü” with his four friends. For ten years, he appeared in this band as a singer and a composer. He appeared in the albums “Seni düsünmek”, “Sabah Türküsü”, “Alagözlü Yar”, “Bahçedeki Sandal” and “Ölüdeniz”. In 1991, he started a duo with Eylem Pelit (bass). With Ahmet Özbilen’s (percussion) appearance, they started to give concerts and they participated in festivals. Starting from 1996, he made several projects under the name “Emin Igüs Group”. In these projects he gave numerous concerts with Ahmet Özbilen (perc) Turgay Basar (winds-perc.) and Tanju Duru (guitar). In 2001, after many concerts with Hakan Oral (guitar), Mutlu Ödemis (violin/keyboards), Orçun Gündem (bass) and Ahmet Özbilen(perc.) , he released his solo albüm “Bu dünya bir pencere” in 2002. He was the music director of the album “Bizim ninniler” (2004) He was the musical advisor of the album “Kül” (2005) by Mircan Kaya. Recently he is playing with Eylem Pelit, Ahmet Özbilen and Alev Akçin under the name “Emin Igüs Group”.
