Nicky Nicolai

Nicky Nicolais' sophisticated jazz essence emerges and merges with pop and bossa in this refined and eclectic concert. Her renowned successes, such as Piu sole, presented in the 2009 edition of the prestigious Sanremo Festival, are alternated with reinterpretations of great jazz standards; Sophisticated Lady (Ellington and Mills) accompanied by the internationally acclaimed Italian saxophonist Stefano Di Battista.

Fabrizio 'Fred' Buccini was born in Rome where he began to sing and play at an early age. Over the years he learned to sing and write texts in 9 different languages and studied sax at the Testaccio Popular School of Music in Rome. He worked for several years in tourist villages doing piano bar and theater and formed his first jazz groups at the “Casa del Jazz” in Rome.
In the various jazz Roman clubs, he will meet in jam session with various musicians of the Italian scene among which: Lino Patruno, Carletto Loffredo, Harold Bradley, Michael Supnick, Red Pellini, Nicky Nicolai, etc …

Three years later, here is the second volume, designed on the same principle: a selection divided into 14 thematic CDs (western, French cinema, war stories, comedy, American cinema, television series, etc.). The program is balanced between classics, rarities, absolute unpublished, original soundtracks never reissued and a complete CD around songs and covers (Kyle Eastwood, Demis Roussos, Andrea Bocelli), including a rereading original of 'Once Upon a Time Revolution' by Chassol as well as 'Love Affair' by Christian Gaubert.
