Thin Lips are a rock/roll type indie band who place a whole lot of value on humility, kindness, and erudite riffage. Following their fledgling EP, Divorce Year, Thin Lips released their first full-length record, Riff Hard (Kyle Pulley/ the Headroom) in May of 2016. Singer/guitarist Chrissy Tashjian steered Thin Lips down the middle lane of pop sensibility, while simultaneously testing the boundaries of some pretty wild licks, backed by rhythm keepers Michael Tashjian (drums and Chrissy's younger brother), and Kyle Pulley (bass/audio engineer), and auxiliary guitar player, Christopher M. Diehm.

Two years after his first album, Etienne Sevet aka The Bongo Hop vows to fulfill the expectations born after Satingarona pt 1, in which he’d laid the foundations of his own afro caribbean « metissage ». This time again, with Satingarona pt 2, the trumpetist hailing from Bordeaux is joined by his friends, colombian singer Nidia Gongora (Quantic, Ondatropica, Canalon) and french producer Patchworks (Voilaaa, Taggy Matcher), alongside newly met colaborators, like parisian impromptu MC Greg Frite, Haitian singer Kephny Eliacin, Cindy Pooch and young talent Laurene Pierre-Magnani from his hometown’s underground caribbean punk scene. New roads and new stories, to a same destination : the land of perpetual dance.

An album of folk songs that embraces the theme of travel and journeys seems entirely appropriate. So much of our traditional song has travelled all around our islands, and far beyond, it makes perfect sense to collate some of those where the characters who populate the stories are on the move. Scots singer/song writer Claire Hastings has done just that, in Those Who Roam.

Turf-roofed and wooden-built, offering fresh clean air, peace, isolation and the promise of a day's wood-chopping, hiking or snow-clearing amid amid landscapes of great beauty, the hytte – or wooden cabin home – is a crucial part of the national identity of every Norwegian. In 2016, Robert Ferguson and his wife bought a piece of land high up in the Hardangervidda, the plateau that dominates south-central Norway, and on it they built such a hytte.
