"The Best Days of My Life" is an album by American singer Johnny Mathis that was released on January 29, 1979, by Columbia Records and scaled back considerably on his more than decade-long practice of recording recent hit songs by other artists. He did, however, cover two standards: "As Time Goes By" and "Begin the Beguine", the latter of which is given a disco arrangement. The album made its first appearance on Billboard magazine's Top LP's & Tapes chart in the issue dated February 24, 1979, and remained there for seven weeks, peaking at #122. It also made it to #38 during a five-week run on the UK album chart.

Ted Heath has been rightfully described as the biggest name in British swing music but he was much more than that. For many years the American bands and orchestras ruled the world of swing and dance music and it is somewhat ironic that at a time when big bands were beginning to take second place to the vocalists of the day, Ted should form an orchestra that rated such attention and adulation: from fans everywhere. This CD contains all of Ted's UK chart entries including 'Hot Toddy', 'Dragnet', 'Skin Deep' and 'Swingin' Shepherd Blues' as well as many other instrumental favourites and several of his vocalists' best remembered recordings including 'Allentown Jail', 'You Belong To Me' and 'Blacksmith Blues'.

"The Way We Were" is the fifteenth studio album recorded by American vocalist Barbra Streisand. It was released on January 1, 1974 by Columbia Records. The record was compiled immediately following the commercial success of lead single "The Way We Were". A majority of the material on the album was meant for the singer's unreleased project The Singer while other songs included were previously released in prior years. Following the distribution of the soundtrack for the 1973 film of the same name, Columbia added a caption to Streisand's LP (Featuring the Hit Single "The Way We Were" and "All in Love Is Fair") in order to minimize confusion between the two albums.

It was re-released in the UK on the CBS Hallmark Series label in 1966 with different artwork.
