Heikki Ruokangas (b. 1987) is Oulu based jazz/avant-garde guitarist and composer. Since 2015 Ruokangas has released four albums that consist of performances as both solo artist and as a leader with various groups. By combining of melody and noise, music of Ruokangas moves from delicate and melodic atmospheres to all the way to violent avant-garde. International appearances by Ruokangas include clubs and festivals in Denmark, Estonia, Sweden and Italy and his albums have been released in UK, USA and Germany. His active groups at the moment include guitar duo Ruokangas-Hako-Rita, Finnish-Danish Trio Ruokangas-Estola-Roland and his solo project Heikki Ruokangas-Monologues.

Anna Murtola from Oulu is known to be the northernmost flamenco singer in the world. Murtola has found her own strong voice as an interpreter of this intense Spanish tradition, but also acts as a versatile musician who performs both as a solo artist and collaborates with various musicians, dancers, artists and projects over cultural and genre ranges. Anna Murtola is a pioneer in Finnish flamenco singing education and in addition to her solo career, she has a duo with flamenco guitarist Joonas Widenius. She also performs as vocalist in world Fusion band Bajo Cero and in several smaller groups. She has performed extensively at various festivals and clubs from Pori Jazz to Provinssirock and from Oulu to Southern Italy. Murtola has graduated as a master of music from the Nordic Master of Global Music program between the Sibelius Academy and the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus. On this new release, she is accompanied by Joonas Widenius, Hannu Rantanen, and Karo Sampela.

BURNING POINT was founded in the Fall of 1999 in Oulu, Finland. After the recordings of only one promotional CD, the band managed to get a record deal with a well-known German based metal label, Limb Music (LMP), who released the albums "Salvation By Fire" (2001) and "Feeding The Flames" (2003). Despite massive legal problems which ended up in fights through lawyers and the loss of their record deal, the band managed to get live slots on some big festivals such as Tuska Metal Festival and Sweden Rock…

Born in 1928, Einojuhani Rautavaara established a reputation as Finland's leading composer of the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. His music identified a latent strand of the wider public consciousness worldwide, and of all his many works, his Seventh Symphony, "Angel of Light," written in 1994, has perhaps aroused the widest response from audiences and critics alike. Many have commented that the work's beauty and spirituality of expression is a conduit for the cosmic and primal aspects of existence – attributes increasingly marginalized in a secularized and high-tech world.
