The legendary Death Metal icons Obituary return with their highly anticipated new album, Dying of Everything.
Dying Of Everything destroys in the time-honored tradition of early Obituary classics Slowly We Rot and Cause of Death while maintaining the killer studio sound that the band has been perfecting in their own studio since 2007’s monstrous Xecutioner’s Return.
You can hear the results on lead single “The Wrong Time” which boasts a slamming mid-tempo groove. Meanwhile, the title track boasts punishing riffs and songwriting by Ken Andrews. The album’s third single, “My Will To Live,” is a total skull-crusher…
Slowly We Rot is the debut album by American death metal band Obituary. It was released on June 14, 1989 and is the only Obituary album to feature bassist Daniel Tucker. Guitarist Allen West would leave soon after but returned for the third album The End Complete. It was re-released on January 27, 1997 with remastered sound and liner notes. Despite being recorded in standard tuning and Fender Stratocasters, it is considered to be one of the band's heavier efforts. The remainder of the band's output has been recorded in D tuning.
Frozen in Time is the sixth album by American death metal band Obituary. It was released on July 12, 2005, and was the band's first album in eight years since 1997's Back from the Dead, and the last to feature guitarist Allen West. Longtime contributor Scott Burns (who had not worked with Obituary since 1994's World Demise) reunited with the band as the producer for this album, though it would be the last time they would work with him as he retired from producing after its release.
