Passionate about chamber music, the Toronto-based Odin Quartet represents the diversity and the promise of youth in Canada. Named after the one-eyed Norse god, seeker of knowledge and holder of the wisdom of the world, the Odin Quartet explores the role of classical music in modern-day storytelling.

This chapter reconstructs Eugenio Barba's theoretical reflections on apprenticeship. Beginning with the idea of a laboratory as a space for technical research, it ends with ISTA (International School of Theatre Anthropology) and with the idea of the theatre as an unending school, an environment where, through technical principles, one tries to transmit ethical principles.
Training is the transcription of Eugenio Barba's commentary for two films on Odin Teatret, directed by Torgeir Wethal for Italian TV in November 1972.

ODIN, well-known because of their album on famous label Vertigos recorded 1972, did during their lifetime a lot of concerts. Founded in summer 1971, ODIN played, beside their own material, titles of their favorites, for example Frank Zappa, King Crimson, Neil Young and others. On this CD you have Neil Young titles such as Ohioand Cimarron Girl, King Crimson's classic the 21th Century Schizoid Man, Zappa's Oh Noand Peaches En Regaliaas special ODIN versions. Also, ODIN's Silver Dollar, a 20-minutes long epic (not on the album and not on the CD "SWF SESSION 1973").
