This compilation was first recorded for a Japanese radio show called Radio Ape. Copies were given to selected people by James Lavelle and a certain number of copies were sold in Hideout, London.

Featuring ninety of the most remarkable female artists, all-girl bands and female-fronted groups to have recorded in the UK during the decade spanning 1977-1987, irrespective of genre and commercial success, “Make More Noise” proudly explores the breakthrough of countless pioneering women of the era. Of course, hugely successful female pop stars were nothing new in 1977, but this isn’t their story. This is the story of the everyday artist. The jobbing, gigging, working musician. The independent spirt.

The plight of Northern Ireland throughout the 1970s and 1980s is well documented. Less widely acknowledged, though, is the unifying impact that punk rock and everything that came in it's wake had on the country's youth. Whilst violence, disenchantment and danger became everyday obstacles, punk provided an outlet, a means of expression and something beyond the political landscape in a way few other cities on earth could have understood. The Shellshock Rock film first captured this in 1978, and we proudly extend that account with three discs of tracks recorded during a period that breathed new life into the country's musical culture. The bands of Belfast and beyond created a scene entirely of their own, without the aid of an existent network of venues and publications. Punk forged alliances that reached across sectarian boundaries, and pushed back against a culture of traditions and establishment which seemed to offer very little to the country's youth. Featuring in-depth sleeve-notes, essays by both Stuart Bailie and John T. Davis, unseen imagery and, for the first time outside of Japan, the seminal Shellshock Rock film, this latest addition to our series of deep, geographically focussed sets promises to be the most vital of them all. Nowhere was punk as necessary and as life-changing as it was in Northern Ireland.

Destination is the 2019 album by Japanese artist/producer Daisuke Akitsu, who goes by the moniker Dirty Androids. This was released on his own DA Recording.

Gerry Anderson and Christopher Burr’s Terrahawks turns 40 this autumn. On Saturday 8 October 1983, Terrahawks was broadcast for the very first time on ITV. The cult show was Anderson’s first in over a decade to use puppets for its characters, and also his last. Set in the year 2020, the series followed the adventures of the Terrahawks, a taskforce responsible for protecting Earth from invasion by a group of extraterrestrial androids and aliens led by Zelda. Like Anderson’s previous puppet series, futuristic vehicles and technology featured prominently in each episode.
