The show begins with an abbreviated version of "Long Distance Runaround," with just Anderson and his acoustic guitar. "Yours is No Disgrace" is unrecognizable, as Anderson turns it into an alternative acoustic rock song, which has its own sense of urgency and takes a classic Yes song that he's done who knows how many times, and turns it on its head- a very interesting cover of his own work…
The lion never sleeps. And Roland Voss never rests. This soaring man surprises once again, and presents Lemongrass’ first ambient release. As the title suggests, the EP "Ambient Land" takes the listener on a journey to the wonders of the earth. The overall impression is of some dreamlike atmosphere, where gravity has ceased to exist and weight has lost its meaning. Up, up into the sky seems to be the motto. Down, down into your soul is where the five tracks will take you. Such is the sound that it will make you examine the wonders of the mind. The way: no beats, but a pleasing breeze…
In the Land of Hi-Fi is one of Sarah Vaughan's best jazz dates for EmArcy. Accompanied by an all-star orchestra arranged by Ernie Wilkins and featuring altoist Cannonball Adderley (who was near the beginning of his career), the great singer is in superior form during these concise (around three minutes apiece) performances, particularly on "Soon," "Cherokee," "I'll Never Smile Again," and "An Occasional Man." A strong session.
This album compiles unreleased music by the bands La Pequeña Banda De Tricupa, La Piedra, Redd, Vassa and Trigémino. Back in 1982, bass player Esteban Cerioni decided to record these songs belonging to the bands he had been a member of, together with a bunch of renowned players of those times. Due to diverse reasons, these tracks remained unknown until now and, as time went by, they became almost forgotten. Oh, by the way, the fellows playing on the Trigémino cuts are the group's original lineup.
