She's just different. Contrary to the trend marked by the Esbjorn Svensson Trio, the headstrong young pianist Olivia Trummer on their debut album avoids the heavy rhythms of hip hop. Instead, the 21-year-old Baden-Württembergerin, bassist Joel Locher and drummer Marcel Gustke subtle swing, but also romantic and consistently. The newcomer can condense a lot of time to build their pieces, they always listen to each other, they communicate, they relax the atmosphere and at the right moments - and without doubt have allies Miss Trummer a keen sense of drama and dynamics.

Olivia Trummer confirms with her second album her great talent. All songs are her own compositions and original material. Their music has matured and virtuosity, but without sacrificing quality and catchiness. Olivia Trummer remains true to her style refreshing lightness. For this purpose, undoubtedly contributes to the new lineup of the trio: In addition to Joel Locher on always-warm and woody double bass virtuoso emerged Bodek Janke, with its variety of sounds on drums and percussion, the music in a new light. As a special guest for this second album she has the young Matthias Schriefl on trumpet and flugelhorn invited.

Born in Stuttgart as the daughter of a pair of pianists, Olivia Trummer initially trained in classical music, but even then she flirted with jazz as a highly present form of spontaneous expression. Under the influence of song monoliths such as Steely Dan's Donald Fagen, the coordinates of free music, song structure and classical music finally found their own musical language, always turned towards the sublime. Now she adds a 9th album to her versatile discography.
