"Last Time I Saw Him" is a 1973 album released by American singer Diana Ross on the Motown Records. It reached #52 in the USA (#12 R&B) and sold over 200,000 copies. It also helped Ross win the 1974 American Music Award for Favorite R&B Female. The arrangements were by Gene Page, Michael Omartian, Tom Baird, David Blumberg, Bob Gaudio, James Carmichael and Paul Riser. Harry Langdon was credited with the cover photography. The album yielded the title track single "Last Time I Saw Him", a multi-format hit that reached #1 (for three weeks) on the Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary, #14 on the Hot 100, and #15 on the Hot Soul singles. It peaked at #9 Pop on the Top 100 lists for both Cashbox and Record World, as well as #10 in Radio & Records. It also reached #35 in the United Kingdom.

THE FIRST TIME…FOR THE LAST TIME is collection of demos a then-unknown Shania Twain recorded in the late 1980s and early 1990s for Canadian label Limelight Records. Written in collaboration with Los Angeles producer Paul Sabu, the songs here are not country music, but rather well-crafted, energetically performed pop/rock fare. Though the production is often dated (particularly on the cruise-ship-dance-party-sounding “For the Love of Him” and the Laura Branigan-esque “It’s Alright), the tracks definitely offer repeated glimpses of Twain’s superstar potential. There are even a few country-tinged numbers (“Bite My Lip,” “Luv Eyes”) that presage Twain and Mutt Lange’s multi-platinum Nashville/arena rock hybrids. Though recordings contained herein have been made available in several other forms, this package goes the extra mile by offering both the original recordings and significantly re-mixed/remastered versions on two different discs.

One of the most popular jazz pianists during his lifetime, the great Erroll Garner played by ear and never learned to read music. Nevertheless, he created a highly personal and unmistakable style. He also composed wonderful tunes, the most famous of which is the immortal “Misty”. Presented here is the complete LP One More Time (Harmony HS-11268), represented on tracks 2-10, and consisting of a selection of Garner’s brilliant Columbia recordings.
