This is the long-awaited follow up to 2013's "Arrington de Dionyso's Malaikat dan Singa: OPEN THE CROWN". The online release of this album is a bittersweet admission of defeat and a triumphant if temporary return to songcraft. Recording began at Dub Narcotic Studio towards the end of 2013 and continued in spurts throughout 2014. Final mixes were made in 2017 but the recordings were not mastered until late in 2018.

Richie Kotzen is one of the most famous guitar players in the hard rock genre with a great songwriting talent and a great voice. Having released over a dozen of solo albums, with participations as a guitarist in famous bands like POISON in 1991 (with “Native Tongue) and with MR.BIG (in “Get Over It, “Deep Cuts and “Actual Size) and many other projects/bands. For the un-initiated “Mother Head's Family Reunion” is the title of Richie Kotzen’s album for Geffen Records in 1994, his major debut and first post-Poison solo album. Regarded by many fans and critics as his real masterpiece, that record featured drummer Atma Anur, bassist John Pierce and producer Richie Zito.

"Electric Joy" was Richie Kotzen's third album for Shrapnel Records and documents his incredible growth as a musician. The album delivered a collection of original instrumental compositions rich in tasteful melodies and contemporary guitar techniques, that further cemented RK position in the music world as a guitarist's. For the first time, Kotzen was in the studio producing himself with complete creative control.
