To augment the available palette of sounds with another dimension, Orchestral Tools introduces TIME macro, captured at the Teldex Scoring Stage with the same setup used for the Berlin Series and Metropolis Ark Series. TIME macro is the essence of many concepts and ideas about music in a temporal context.

Orchestral Tools' Soloists Series is focused on detailed captured sampled solo instruments that reach a degree of expression and realism never heard before. Selected artists from Berlin were recorded in a Solo-Style dynamic range, with the lyrical expression and the finest tone that is needed to create extraordinary solo lines and phrases.

Special Bows I brings you high strings at their most unusual and moving. Painstakingly capturing top level performances from five microphone positions, the collection delivers a stunning array of unique textures that cannot be achieved with ordinary sample libraries. From hair-raising action to heartbreaking romance, these sounds provide everything you need to infuse a scene with the highest level of emotive power.

Special Bows II delivers unique and subtle timbres from the warming lower registers of a full string ensemble. With distinguished performers recorded from five microphone positions, the collection blends tradition with technology to capture the depth of character that can only be found in low strings. These vibrant sounds provide a crucial extra layer of impact and drama, perfect for first-class film scoring.

The library is recorded with 4-5 different mic positions: AB, Tree, Close, Surround and Concert master (only violin 1). The mics can me mixed and matched by the user but using them all at the same time is obviously very resource demanding. Also Adaptive Legato Engine is created, which uses three different legato types (slurred-expressive, agile and fast) plus portamento, and it switches automatically depending on how fast you play. Velocity switches between three different bow stroke intensities for an even more realistic legato attack.
