Nils Lofgren (born June 21, 1951, Chicago, Illinois) is an American rock musician, musician and multi—instrumentalist, songwriter. Along with his solo work, he is also known as a member of the rock band Crazy Horse (participated in the recording of the debut album), a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band (since 1984), a member and founder/frontman of the band Grin.

Prism is a special collaboration for Cached between Jen Powers, Matthew Rolin, and Cole Pulice. Across four tracks, the trio soars through their own cosmic blend of Atomic Americana. Prior to this collaboration, Jen Powers and Matthew Rolin, based in rural Ohio, have created space across several intersections of DIY music communities with their American Pastoral trance music. Rolin is a deft guitar player with a sound as expressive as it is skillful; Powers’ dulcimer playing is transcendent and hypnotic. Between applying their craft to more experimental and borderline-free-jazz worlds, as well as with troubadours like Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Powers and Rolin work keeps an air of far-out approachability.

On their extraordinary new album, Late Reflections (out April 14 on City Slang), the German-Swiss duo place their art in communion with an institution so old it predates their music by seven centuries: Cologne Cathedral. The iconic monument of Gothic architecture, which is both a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Germany’s most visited landmark, served as an unusual recording studio for Grandbrothers’ fourth album, marking the only time the Cathedral has ever permitted a recording of this kind.

One of the most influential and underground Hammond organists of the 1960's was "Big" John Patton as he was then known. If it was the groove that you wanted Patton was your Man and he made several albums for the legendary Blue Note label, many of which went on to sell for eye watering prices. As his style went out of favor, some of the recordings never saw the light of day until almost 20 years later and at the same time Patton slipped into the background.

A single saxophone, a glockenspiel, two microphones, a zoom recorder. These are the materials Patrick Shiroishi brought down with him late one night into the cavernous parking structure below a hot pot restaurant in Monterey Park. It was around 1:30AM; the spot was not too far from where Shiroishi grew up, a blank slate shown to him by his dear friend, Noah Klein.
