Owls

This book describes the biological control of rats by owls in Malaysia, the prey-predator interactions in a tropical forest in Mexico, and provides an overview of the breeding biology of owls. From numerous owl belief and myth studies, described in this book are those of the lesser known Central Asian countries where owls are often worshipped for their supernatural powers.

Dennis Brennan has been acclaimed as one of Bostons best singer-songwriters for longer than most locals can remember. The music on Brennans many albums falls loosely into the Roots Rock/Americana category, but his songs have always been clearly influenced by his deep and esoteric love and knowledge of Blues and Soul music. For a few years now Brennan has held down a weekly dive-bar residency with a brilliant band of simpatico players dubbed Dennis Brennan and the White Owls, just to celebrate and explore their take on the blues.

"Between Owls" feels at home in autonomous youth centers and squats as they do at funfairs or ballrooms. Their sound is somewhere between wavy post-punk and garage indie-pop.
