Here Nashville's cast nails a collection of holiday classics for a real-world LP. The album moves with the sonic diversity of contemporary country radio, from string-filled ballads to—in the case of "Christmas Coming Home"—a Bo Diddley-esque syncopated stomp. Sam Palladio's gently sung take on Joni Mitchell's "River" is quietly moving, and Aubrey Peeples' saucy "Merry Christmas Baby" breaks the boundaries of country altogether, exaggerating the horn riffs and guitar flourishes of old-school rock ‘n’ roll.

Amour is the first collaboration between famed Colin Linden (Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, ABC's hit TV show "Nashville)" and Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi Allstars, Black Crowes). It is made up of a collection of classic love songs from Americana, featuring guest vocalists Rachael Davis, Ruby Amanfu, Billy Swan and Sam Palladio & Jonathan Jackson from Linden's tenure as musical director on the hit TV show "Nashville". Both Linden and Dickinson are true veterans of Roots music having played with and produced the biggest names in the business while displaying the mantle of countless awards and accolades to reflect that. Amour was recorded and produced by Colin Linden with the intention of warming hearts everywhere and truly expressing the passion of Americana.

The various songs and performances, both covers and originals, are part of an ongoing release series handled by Big Machine Records, and in the spring of 2014, it was announced that members of the cast, although not its two major stars, Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, would be touring and performing shows together leading up to the show's second season finale in the second week of May. Among those participating in this mini four-city tour were Charles Esten, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Chris Carmack, and Will Chase. The cast topped off their second season with the release of a Christmas album in 2014.

Sarah Darling is releasing her forthcoming new album, Dream Country, this Friday (Feb. 10). The project is filled with tracks that Darling dubs “dream country” that run the gamut from wishing on wandering stars to songs that capture the spirit of dreamers. The CD includes tracks co-penned by Darling and Nashville star Sam Palladio, Minnie Murphy, Rebekah Powell, and others.

Una Healy returns to her roots on her solo debut album The Waiting Game. Una says of the album, "over the past 2 years I've been writing and recording my debut solo album and I'm so excited to finally share it with everyone. I have literally been playing the waiting game! The songs were all written from the heart and I hope people can relate to them. The sound of the album is very true to my roots and is a return to the music I've always loved."
