Killing melody, and some funky grooves as well – a whole host of excellent cuts pulled from Japanese action films of the late 60s and early 70s! The music here is all from that great range of Hotwax and Nikkatsu CD collections we've stocked on the Ultra Vybe label – distilled down here into a single collection that focuses only on instrumental tracks, usually with a strong funk or fuzz guitar component! Given that the original CD series had notes only in Japanese, the English notes here are a real help to understanding the music – and lets hope that this collection is only the start of some wider Western exposure for these musical gems.
