This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 8th International Conference, MLDM 2012, held in Berlin, Germany in July 2012. The 51 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 212 submissions. The topics range from theoretical topics for classification, clustering, association rule and pattern mining to specific data mining methods for the different multimedia data types such as image mining, text mining, video mining and web mining.

This volume constitutes selected papers presented during the Second International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Pattern Recognition, ISPR 2022, held in Hammamet, Tunisia, in March 2022. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the conference was held online.
The 22 full papers and 10 short papers presented were thoroughly reviewed and selected from the 91 submissions. The papers are organized in the following topical sections: computer vision; data mining; pattern recognition; machine and deep learning.

A timely convergence of two widely used disciplines
Random Graphs for Statistical Pattern Recognition is the first book to address the topic of random graphs as it applies to statistical pattern recognition. Both topics are of vital interest to researchers in various mathematical and statistical fields and have never before been treated together in one book. The use of data random graphs in pattern recognition in clustering and classification is discussed, and the applications for both disciplines are enhanced with new tools for the statistical pattern recognition community. New and interesting applications for random graph users are also introduced.
