Mercury Records was founded in 1945 and originally only signed black artists. By 1962, the year of our compilation, they had recruited a host of new artists of all hues which made Mercury the dominant force in jazz, blues, rock 'n' roll and pop in the US. These artists included Little Richard, Dolly Parton, George Jones, Jivin' Gene, Clyde McPhatter, Charles Aznavour, Quincy Jones, Patti Page, Ray Stevens and many more.

"Looking Into You", the first ever tribute album honoring Jackson Browne, features a mix of Browne's old friends, fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, and younger admirers offering their own interpretations of 23 hits and album cuts from the songwriter's extensive catalog. Among those who lent their talents to this double-disc set are Ben Harper, Don Henley with Blind Pilot, Lyle Lovett, Keb' Mo', Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen & Patti Scialfa, and Lucinda Williams.

Split fairly neatly between his contemporaries and those who followed in his footsteps, Looking into You: A Tribute to Jackson Browne is a generous tribute to the quintessential singer/songwriter, running 23 songs over the course of two CDs.

The tenth studio album from Better Than Ezra, Super Magick arrives as a prime showcase for the distinct collision of elements that have made them so beloved over the years: the eternally sticky melodies, heart-on-sleeve storytelling and wildly clever turns of phrase, potent yet finely composed soundscapes embedded with so much ear candy. But in a creative leap typical of the sonically adventurous band—whose lineup also includes guitarist/keyboardist James Arthur Payne Jr. and drummer Michael Jerome Moore—the album finds Better Than Ezra’s exploring influences from an eclectic mix of genres (country, Britpop, dub, new-wave-leaning arena rock, to name just a few). Mainly produced by Griffin and Emery Dobyns (a producer/songwriter/engineer known for his work with Patti Smith, Lou Reed, and Antony and the Johnsons), Super Magick once again proves their passionate commitment to constant evolution in their artistry. “This album took a while, but we wanted to put the right energy into it,” says Griffin. “There’s this idea that most people who go to see veteran bands are there for the old songs, but for us putting out a new record is about adding to our canon of work and creating music that we’re excited to play.”

A Taste Of Honey: Gems From The Mercury Vaults 1962 is a 3CD compilation released in 2013 by the One Day Music label. Allegedly, this was released in China to highlight various releases from 1962 on Mercury Records so its origin ls "unknown" but it features 75 original songs you may not be able to find elsewhere.

As befits a Texas-based label, Music Road's 'Looking Into You' also features a healthy Lone Star contingent, including Eliza Gilkyson, Bob Schneider, J.D. Souther, Kevin Welch, Shawn Colvin, and Jimmy LaFave.

2018 release. It's in the quiet moments sprinkled deftly throughout Silver And Stone that Mike Farris reveals a previously hidden side of his singular instrument. His voice, widely known for it's power and range, becomes a vessel for something more subtle but infinitely more rare and challenging to capture-the pure, authentic nature of returning to your roots. Musically, the album delves deep into Farris' background with a wide range of influences, drawing as much from Stevie Wonder and Bill Withers as from Bon Scott and Steve Marriott.
