"Don't Look Any Further" is the debut solo album by American R&B singer Dennis Edwards, former lead singer of the Temptations. The album was released in 1984 through Gordy Records. The album reached #2 on the R&B charts and was launched with the hit single "Don't Look Any Further," a duet with Siedah Garrett. Though Edwards never had another big solo hit, “Don’t Look Any Further” created a its own legacy, partly due to Edwards’ and Garrett’s performances, and partly due to its iconic bassline. The bassline served as the bedrock for dozens of hip-hop, R&B, and pop tracks in the decades to follow. It also included the radio singles "(You're My) Aphrodisiac" and "Just Like You."

Beyond the Limits

Beyond the Limits (2003)
The rookie journalist Vivian seeks Frederick, the caretaker of the oldest cemetery in an undefined country, asking for an interview and the old man tells the story of two "costumers" and both connected by a mysterious secret. The powerful gangster Jimmie Levinson accuses his former partner Paul Pattuchi of stealing a load of cocaine and orders to kill his beloved girlfriend Clarice. Paul is found dead later in a cottage, and Jimmie and his friends and girlfriends are visited during a dinner party by Robert Downing first and then by the sadistic Mortimer and his partner Rick seeking the truth about Paul and a suitcase with a mysterious relic. The second story takes place in the Middle Ages, where the cruel David Deming and his minion Tom Brewster chase the renegade priest James Flynn in the name of the Inquisition but actually trying to force him to reveal the secret of the Eternal Heart to grant immortality.

American composer, conductor and educator, Lukas Foss, has contributed profoundly to the circulation and appreciation of music from the 20th century. He began his musical studies in Berlin, where he studied piano and theory with Julius Goldstein (Herford). Goldstein introduced Foss to the music of Bach, Mozart and Beethoven, which proved to have a profound effect on Foss's musical development. In 1933, Foss went to Paris, where he studied piano with Lazare Levy, as well as composition with Noel Gallon, orchestration with Felix Wolfes and flute with Marcel Moyse. Foss remained in Paris until 1937, when he moved, with his family, to the United States, where he continued his musical instruction at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. In addition to his Curtis studies, Foss studied conducting with Koussevitzky during the summers from 1939 to 1943 at the Berkshire Music Center. He also studied composition with Paul Hindemith as a special student at Yale from 1939 to 1940...

Tom Waits has always been a "fringe performer" almost like a poetically structured, gravel voiced Alice Cooper with a pork pie hat. Tom goes back a long time and in my view has always been the type of recording artist that you would have to listen to his tracks three times before his genius sank in. He is all about delivery, lyrical adroitness and persona…….
