Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabji (born Leon Dudley Sorabji; 14 August 1892 – 15 October 1988) was an English composer, music critic, pianist and writer. He was one of the 20th century's most prolific piano composers. As a composer and pianist, Sorabji was largely self-taught, and he distanced himself from the main currents of contemporary musical life early in his career. He developed a highly idiosyncratic musical language, with roots in composers as diverse as Busoni, Debussy and Szymanowski, and he dismissed large portions of the established and contemporary repertoire.

Berry Gordy hated these two-fers: too much for too little money; but he doesn't own the masters anymore and Universal International has revitalized the concept via digitally remastered CDs. This combo features Time Out, which spawned the hits "Doggone Right," "Baby, Baby Don't Cry," "Abraham, Martin & John," the popular B-side "Here I Go Again," an uptempo take of "My Girl," and two fine Smokey Robinson songs: "Once I Got to Know You (Couldn't Help But Love You)" and "I'll Take You Anyway That You Come." Four in Blue, aka the Miracles' forgotten album, has some good moments that few know about because none of its tracks emerged as single; not even a B-side. "You Send Me (With Your Good Loving)" sounds like a hit; "When Nobody Cares," a cry for racial tolerance; "Don't Say You Love Me," a great Richard Morris production; and Holland, Dozier, Holland's "My World Is Empty." Not as arresting as Time Out, but solid.

Deluxe remastered edition of this album from cult folk artist Karen Dalton. Recorded over a six month period in 1970/71 at Bearsville, In My Own Time was Dalton's only fully planned and realized studio album. The material was carefully selected and crafted for her by producer/musician Harvey Brooks, the Renaissance man of rock-jazz who played bass on Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited and Miles' Bitches Brew. It features ten songs that reflected Dalton's incredible ability to break just about anybody's heart - from her spectral evocation of Joe Tate's One Night of Love, to the dark tragedy of the traditional Katie Cruel. Known as a great interpreter of choice material, Dalton could master both country and soul genres with hauntingly pining covers of George Jones' Take Me and Holland-Dozier Holland's How Sweet It Is.

Family is an English rock band, active from late 1966 to October 1973, and again since 2013 for a series of live shows. Their style has been characterised as progressive rock, as their sound often explored other genres, incorporating elements of styles such as folk, psychedelia, acid rock, jazz fusion, and rock and roll. The band achieved recognition in the United Kingdom through their albums, club and concert tours, and appearances at festivals. The band's rotating membership throughout its relatively short existence led to a diversity in sound throughout their different albums. Family are also often seen as an unjustly forgotten act, when compared with other bands from the same period and have been described as an "odd band loved by a small but rabid group of fans".

This remastered edition features seven non-album singles and hard-to-find B-sides as bonus tracks.

This is a long-awaited book from Roger Protz, a highly respected authority on beer, on the rebirth of IPA or India Pale Ale – one of the most popular styles in today’s craft beer revolution. Around the world, young brewers, with passion, reverence and commitment, are bringing flavour back to beer after decades of domination by global giants and their bland products. Such is the fervour for IPA that the journey started by India Pale Ale in Victorian England is far from over.

Antal Dorati was a veteran ballet conductor and a personal friend of Stravinsky. His recording of The Firebird was a legend in its own time, and its reappearance on CD, sounding better than ever, immediately reestablished its supremacy. All of Stravinsky's complete ballets–as opposed to the suites– have "dead spots," moments when the music sort of stops and lurches about, illustrating something happening onstage. That's why the composer made the suites in the first place. However, many of his most fascinating orchestral ideas occur precisely in these "dead spots," which is why many conductors and audiences prefer the works complete. Trust Dorati: he's the most reliable guide to this music, and his orchestra gives him a virtuoso response.
