is the second five-issue limited series entitled “Ultraspacial Dreadnought Vanaheim”, of a comic book written by Warren Ellis with art by Facundo Percio and published by Avatar Press. The first limited series also consisted of five issues. It's a sci-fi thriller with lots of action, lots of new concepts, and a general sense that you’re reading something you’ve never seen before--vintage Ellis at his best. Percio's artwork is no slouch, either, filling the pages with panel after panel of gorgeous, detailed--even intricate--drawings in a distinctive style that fits the storyline like a glove. There's witty dialogue and thoughtful scientific and sociological concepts. High-concept blockbuster movie comics at their best. High quality Minutemen scan.

It took more than a year, but Warren Ellis' 5-issue miniseries is finally complete with the release of its 5th and final issue last December 2, 2010. The conclusion is one long monologue delivered by Simon Reddin, a British scientist who worked on their post-human program and it relies so much on following through with ideas set up in the previous issues, with Garrie Gastonny ever-consistent with his stunning artwork. acts as the third book in a loose, thematic trilogy of comics about post-humanity done by Ellis for Avatar, following up on and . It stands as the most thought-provoking and challenging of the three books, concerned with tackling an almost impossible idea: how does something not human think and act? Ellis succeeds in laying out some theories and providing a hint of where to go for future writers. may not work completely as a story, but as an argument, a theory for post-human stories, it’s a brilliant piece of work. This conclusion is depressing and challenging and frustrating and disturbing. It’s the sort of comic that sticks with you and changes the way you think about superhero comics. Issues #1-4 are all HQ Minutemen scans while issue #5 is an independent one by an anonymous scanner, with the individual jpeg images saved at very low compression ratios--almost lossless, in fact.

Weird Horrors & Daring Adventures The Joe Kubert Archives Vol. 1 (2013)
English | CBR | 243 pages | 312.67 MB

Thirty-three of Sgt. Rock cartoonist Joe Kubert’s crime and horror comics, collected in one volume.
Joe Kubert sealed his reputation as one of the greatest American comic-book cartoonists of all time with the four-color adventures of Sgt. Rock of Easy Company, Enemy Ace, and Tarzan, all done for DC Comics during the 1960s and 1970s (themselves already the subject of archival editions)… but he had been working in comics since the 1940s. In fact, young Kubert produced an exciting, significant body of work as a freelance artist for a variety of comic book publishers in the postwar era, in a glorious variety of non-super hero genres: horror, crime, science fiction, western, romance, humor, and more. For the first time, 33 of the best of these stories have been collected in one full-color volume, with a special emphasis on horror and crime.

Resurrection Vol. 1 #1-6 (Of 6) Complete Plus Annual
Eng | RS & Hotfile | 7 CBR | Oni Press | Nov 1 2007 - Sep 1 2008 | 106.7 MB

This is the original six-issue miniseries and the 2008 Annual, all in black and white, not that being entirely in black and white was a liability. In fact, just like in which is in my opinion the best ongoing comic series today, the granularity of the story elements and details are emphasized all the more. One gets the feeling that color would only serve as a distraction and would in fact diminish the comic book as a whole.
