Since 1991, a complete edition of all recordings in which Karlheinz Stockhausen has personally participated is being released on compact discs. Each CD in this series is identified by Stockhausen's signature followed by an encircled number. The numbers indicate the general historical order of the works. Stockhausen realised the electronic music and participated in these recordings as conductor, performer, sound projectionist, and musical director. He personally mixed down the recordings, mastered them for CDs, wrote the texts and drew the covers.

Tuner consists of drummer Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson) and multi-instrumentalist Markus Reuter (centrozoon). "Pole" is a ground-breaking modern rock album best described as an amalgamation of the sounds of Tool, Peter Gabriel, NIN, King Crimson and the daring attitude and power of contemporary art. The album features stellar performances by Peter Kingsbery (vox), SiRenee (vox), Chrysta Bell (vox), Lisa Fletcher (vox), Laura Scarborough (vibes) and Pamelia Kurstin (theremin).

Bosco has been a legend ever since acoustic guitarists discovered the instrumental version of his 1952 "Masanga." Though he recorded 150 sides in the following decade, almost nothing is available except these 1988 studio sides, which trade the mellowness of middle-age for youthful zip without losing any of their charm. And, yes, there's an instrumental "Masanga."

There is not much to fault in this quintessentially Russian opera with the lavish staging and fantastic costumes surely a feat to the eye. You cannot find much fault on the musical side of things either as many have expressed their opinion that this remains the finest version of the opera by a mile. The charismatic and almost demonic Gergiev conducts with his systematic, unabated passion for music which is most certainly in his blood and his players definitely do him proud. The cast is also top notch on all counts with Netrebko and Gorchakova particularly impressive.
