Schizofrantik were formed in 1998 and have been playing and writing music ever since, but their first release was in 2008. They have since been signed to the label Gentle Art of Music, who released their first label-backed CD, "Oddities" in 2011.
"Oddities", yes, a perfect title indeed. Because Schizofrantik's music can be divided in two totally unrelated styles. First comes their more complex, intricate and frenetic nature. With a style reminiscent of Mörglbl and Koenji Hyakkei (minus the Zeuhl influence) they offer a totally schizophrenic, furious and extremely technical Prog Fusion with heavy guitars, twisting organs and synthesizers and a pounding rhythm section…
