Prince will forever be remembered as a commanding live performer, chart-topping recording artist, and music business revolutionary. Yet for all the time he spent in the spotlight over his four-decade-long career, Prince also worked tirelessly behind the scenes to nurture talent and pen songs for the rising artists he respected.

Greatest Ever!: 80s Pop Anthem is a 3CD box set of some of the most righteous music of the 1980's, a blast from the pop charts. This was released by Union Square Music via Univeral in 2013.

American singer, musician, songwriter, composer, arranger, sound engineer, producer, actor, dancer. Frontman of Prince And The Revolution (from 1984 to 1986). And from 1991 onwards he was Leader of the New Power Generation (which evolved the line-up almost every year) until his passing 2016. Prince was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.

The Vault… Old Friends 4 Sale is a 1999 album by Prince. It is a collection of songs from older sessions recorded between 1985 and 1994 and, according to the liner notes, "originally intended 4 private use only". Consider this a bit of a "contractual obligation" album, with Prince delivering this while he was still "The Artist Formerly Known As…". Warner Bros. is a company.

The seeds for the La De Das THE HAPPY PRINCE were sown very early on in 1967, long before Pete Townsend's TOMMY and Ray Davies' ARTHUR were even conceived, unfortunately it would be two years before it was finally released.Band members Bruce Howard and Trevor Wilson were talking of a rock opera as early as 1966 and started writing material early in 1967. The project was temporarily put on hold while the band left New Zealand in May '67 to hopefully conquer the Aussie scene.The La De Das eventually talked EMI Australia into recording THE HAPPY PRINCE album in January 1969. Finally released in April 1969 to unanimously excellent reviews, it was only a moderate seller at the time.This album is comprised of two versions of THE HAPPY PRINCE - one version is without Adrian Rawlins' narration in an attempt to show how the album might have sounded as a collection of songs.

Happy Birthday is a 1996 bootleg CD by Prince & The Revolution. An excellent soundboard recording, it was recorded at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan on 7 June, 1986 on Prince's 28th birthday. He was on tour in support of his album Parade, which was the soundtrack to his second film, Under The Cherry Moon. The mood here is a bit more loose than his solid shows, complete with him going earlier to perform his first hit song, "I Wanna Be Your Lover". This was released by the Moonraker label.
