We heard The Four Seasons for the first time before we even knew how to talk, and the sound of the violin is one of our first memories. It's as if we always knew we would return to this repertoire one day, that we would happily dive back into our childhood. Vivaldi has laid the foundations of all modern music with his work, and if you listen well, you find his harmonies in all of today’s pop music. With this album, we built our own bridge between classical music that made us grow and the song that has soothed us for a long time. Chamber Pop / Baroque / Alternative / Indie Pop / Orchestral Pop

Plenty of bands and artists have tried to perfect chamber pop into an ideal mixture classical ideas, instrumentation, and compositions with modern sensibilities and textures. Some end up landing mostly in the pop category with a few strings and horns sprinkled in, other veer far into the experimental and lose any pop appeal entirely. But Neil Hannon, leader and only consistent member of the Divine Comedy, apparently hit the ideal balance sometime in the late ‘90s and just keeps running with it. But Foreverland doesn’t sound like the result of an artist that’s been at it for over two decades. It’s still fresh and impressively in tune with the rest of the musical landscape.

As a child traveling cross-country with his parents, from California to Georgia, young Alton Brown saw first-hand how regional food in America changed with the landscape. The seeds for a future television show were planted on that fateful trip. Several decades later, this experience of a young boy took root as Alton pitched a new travel food show idea to Food Network executives.
