Parenthood is a 1989 comedy-drama film with an ensemble cast that includes Steve Martin, Dianne Wiest, Mary Steenburgen, Jason Robards, Rick Moranis, Tom Hulce, Martha Plimpton, Keanu Reeves, Harley Kozak, Eileen Ryan, Joaquin Phoenix (credited as Leaf Phoenix), and Dennis Dugan. The film was directed by Ron Howard, who assisted in developing the story with screenwriters Lowell Ganz & Babaloo Mandel. Much of the film is based on the family and parenting experiences of Howard, Ganz, Mandel, and producer Brian Grazer, who have at least 14 children among the four of them. The filming was partially done at the University of Florida. Parenthood was nominated for two Academy Awards: Dianne Wiest for Best Supporting Actress, and Randy Newman for Best Song for "I Love to See You Smile".

If you haven't seen Willow, then I would recommend you see it at once and enjoy it for what it is: a fun fantasy movie that we could all use a little more of in this day and age.
If you have already seen it and love it, well, go see it again!
This is still the best fantasy film ever made. Even better than contemporary Lord of The Rings.

An avid tv watcher wins a contest and the following months in his life are chronicled by a camera crew, minute by minute. To begin with, video store clerk Ed welcomes the attention, and the show is saving the cable station that gambled on its success. But gradually, as his family and friends become celebrities too, Ed finds a downside to his fame. He becomes estranged from his brother, encounters the father who left his family years before, and rifts emerge between his mother and her husband.

Dans un petit village perdu du Texas, Ray, le frère d'Ed qui est vendeur de vidéo, passe pour l'audition dans le bar où il est un habitué, et montre ses proches dont Ed qui dit deux mots devant la caméra pour lui. Mais c'est Ed que la chaîne choisi. Hésitant, il finit par signer le contrat pour l'argent, mais se rend vite compte des dérapages que la télévision peut offrir…

Joseph Donelly (Tom Cruise),a young Irishman facing property eviction after his father's death, decides to take revenge on his landlord, Daniel Christie (Robert Prosky). In his attempt to kill him however, he is discovered by Daniel's daughter, Shannon Christie (Nicole Kidman) and is injured by her when he tries to escape. While injured he continues his plans to kill his landlord, but his weapon malfunctions and blows up in his face. Held captive while they treat his wounds (planning to subsequently have him hanged for attempted murder), Joseph tries to escape the house and is caught by Stephen Chase (Thomas Gibson), Daniel's arrogant manager. Joseph spits on Stephen in anger and, disgraced, Stephen challenges Joseph to a duel of pistols at dawn. Meanwhile, Shannon, also Stephen's love interest, is growing dissatisfied with the traditional views of her parents' generation and longs to be modern, even going as far as to disgust her mother and their friends by playing American music on the piano.

Irlande, 1892. Fils cadet des Donelly, Joseph est obligé de fuir pour l'Amérique après avoir tiré sur le propriétaire de leur ferme. Il s'embarque avec la fille de son ennemi, Shannon.
