Best of All G.U.N. Years presents 14 standout tracks from the German heavy metal/thrash outfit, culled from their albums appearing on Germany's Great Unlimited Noises imprint…
This massive compilation features standout tracks from across the three decades Rage has been on air. Songs that have resonated with fans and artists covering all genres, ages, genders and nationalities; it’s the definitive Rage collection! The rainy nights staying in, the drunken stumbles home, the house party-starter, the soundtrack to morning muesli – Rage means something different to everyone. The late-night television mainstay has entertained generations of Australians, providing a musical education and a window into a world of colour and artistry that is sometimes poetic, sometimes plastic, often raunchy but always fascinating.
Many in the field of high speed German steel have come and gone since its heyday in the 1980s, but veteran speed/power metal fence-sitters Rage have endured long past most of the competition, and have been among the most prolific progenitors of the art form to boot…
The long awaited new album is here! “WINGS OF RAGE” arrived to stay in the history of RAGE as one of the most emblematic releases of the band ever!
Few metal acts can look back at as comprehensive, multi-faceted and varied a career as Rage. Founded in spring 1984 in Herne in Germany’s Ruhr region, the band surrounding vocalist/bassist Peavy Wagner has integrated a wide range of stylistic nuances into its musical concept. There have been releases which focused primarily on hard thrash sounds, but also recordings featuring anthemnic power metal as well as albums with a - in the true sense of the word - symphonic orientation. Wings Of Rage, the latest offering by the three-piece, consists of all this and much more. Peavy and his colleagues Marcos Rodriguez (guitar) and Vassilios Maniatopoulos (drums) have succeeded in summarising the diversity and experience of almost 36 years of band history in twelve topical songs, starting a new chapter at the same time.
