Human Stain is the second studio album released by the hard rock band Cornerstone. On the plus side there's Dougie White's outstanding vocal performance, the playing and the clear production sound. The album is definitely recommended to heavy rock fans who like Deep Purple, Rainbow, Dio and Thin Lizzy, or who simply look for timeless hard rock songs with great vocals. It's good, and should appeal to those who enjoy their music from the older school of rock. Those who look for great musical novelties might be slightly disappointed by this album.
CORNERSTONE is based on vocalist Dougie White and bassplayer Steen Mogensen augmented by the considerable talents of guitarist Kasper Damgaard and drummer Allan Sorensen all with a solid background on the hard rock scene, they released the highly acclaimed and successfull debut album ”Arrival” in the fall of 2000.
For those who still have a penchant for classic hard rock I’m proud to present the fourth studio album by Cornerstone. This is a very polished piece of European hard rock / melodic progressive metal featuring one of the unsung heroes of the vocal world. Great band, one of the best voices around!
"Emotions in motion" is the 3rd solo album by Japanese guitarist Takayoshi Ohmura originally released in 2007. Mainly adressed to the Japanese market, Ohmura is considered a guitar prodigy in the fields of neoclassical metal and melodic hard rock. And that is exactly what he delivers on this third album, a collection of songs half of which fall in the melodic hard rock/AOR genre while the other half defintily falls into the neoclassical metal genre.
The first ever live recording from the Danish - English alliance featuring ex-Royal Hunt bass player Steen Mogensen and ex-Rainbow / now Malmsteen singer Doogie White has been recorded during their European tour in early 2005 and even if the turnaround was not overwhelming the guys played some stunning concerts. “In Concert”, a live double CD, contains cracking versions of their best songs out of their three studio albums.
MICHAEL SCHENKER'S TEMPLE OF ROCK features legendary German guitarist Michael Schenker alongside vocalist Doogie White, guitarist/keyboardist Wayne Findlay, bassist Francis Buchholz and drummer Herman Rarebell. The CD marks the first time Schenker and fellow ex-SCORPIONS members Buchholz and Rarebell have appeared on the same album since the classic 1979 SCORPIONS LP "Lovedrive".
Three albums into a collaboration between ex-Rainbow singer Dougie White and former Royal Hunt bassist and keyboard player Steen Mogensen, Cornerstone continues laying the strong musical foundation it established on 2000's Arrival and 2002's Human Stain. Once Upon Our Yesterdays, the band's third and most mature album, is bookended with perhaps the album's finest two tracks.
