During Oliver Cromwell's puritanical regicidal revolution, the fictional aristocratic manor lady Angelica Fanshawe follows her heart rather than political loyalty in the bloody conflict between royalists and Roundheads, and later among Crowell's triumphant, soon rivaling protestant followers. For love, she commits to several parties.

The Big Town Players are a harp/ guitar-driven old-school Rhythm and Blues band with a 90% original repertoire and have been playing around town for nearly 3 years. Their blues covers range from Taj Mahal to The Red Devils. Featuring local stalwarts Howie Smallman, Phil Bradley, Pete Lisiewich and Phil Riseborough, the band boasts 4 vocalists and has been wowing audiences at the Perth Blues Club and other local haunts with their energetic, spirited performances. Sporting a weighty, traditional-style old-school sound with a new-school approach to songs and song-writing, the Big Town Players promise to be a wild card on the local scene. The band has recently recorded its debut album.

Christopher Willis is currently recording his score for the upcoming comedy The Death of Stalin. The film is directed by Armando Iannucci (In the Loop) and stars Adrian McLoughlin, Steve Buscemi, Simon Russell Beale, Rupert Friend, Jason Isaacs, Michael Palin, Jeffrey Tambor, Andrea Riseborough, Paddy Considine and Olga Kurylenko. The movie is based on the French graphic novel by Fabien Nury & Thierry Robin and chronicles the chaotic days before Joseph Stalin’s funeral, marked by fierce infighting for the supreme power. Iannucci also co-wrote the screenplay with David Schneider, Ian Martin and Peter Fellows. Yann Zenou, Nicolas Duval-Adassovsky & Laurent Zeitoun (The Intouchables, Heartbreaker) and Kevin Loader (The Lady in the Van, Hyde Park on Hudson) are producing the project. Willis is recording his score at Galaxy Studios in Belgium. The composer has previously collaborated with Iannucci on HBO’s hit series Veep, which will return for a sixth season on April 16, 2017. The Death of Stalin is expected to be released later this year by IFC Films.

Lakeshore Records has released the first track from the soundtrack for Panos Cosmatos’ thriller Mandy. Children of the New Dawn is written by late composer Johann Johannsson (Arrival, Sicario, The Theory of Everything, Prisoners) and is now available to download as digital single on Amazon. Mandy is co-written and directed by Panos Cosmatos and stars Nicolas Cage, Andrea Riseborough, Linus Roache, Ned Dennehy, Olwen Fouéré, Richard Brake and Bill Duke. The thriller will be released in select theaters and on VOD on September 14 by RLJE Films.
