Performing with his new, Grammy-nominated group aptly titled the Band of Joy (which includes fellow luminaries Buddy Miller and Patty Griffin), Plant played both Led Zeppelin classics and new songs that continue to have an impact on the music scene today…

"The Principle of Moments" is the 2nd solo album by former Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant. It was Plant's second top 10 album in the US and UK. It also gave him his first solo Top 40 hit with "Big Log". The most popular track on album-oriented rock radio in the US was "Other Arms", which reached number one on the Billboard Top Tracks chart. Genesis drummer Phil Collins played drums for six of the album's eight songs (as he did on "Pictures at Eleven"). On the other two tracks former Jethro Tull drummer Barriemore Barlow performed.

Of all the rock legends who remain in our orbit, it is perhaps Robert Plant who most elegantly refutes the notion that they should be retired, like footballers, at the age of forty. Letting go of his own beautiful youth, his myth, he has chosen instead the road of ongoing musical exploration: into bluegrass with Alison Krauss and now, with the Band of Joy, into the more mysterious recesses of folk and gospel…

Robert Plant's eleventh studio album, Carry Fire, produced by Plant in the west of England and Wales, melds unusual rhythms with naturalism. As with his 2014 album, lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar, it features his band The Sensational Space Shifters. They are also joined here by special guests, including Chrissie Hynde. The album is "transfixing," exclaims NPR. "Plant and his collaborators create music that overflows with irrepressible life force … Carry Fire is rivetingly intimate."
