This collection of the complete chamber music of Poulenc shows the varying styles that he employed. From the jazzy, bitonal passages of the Sonata for Clarinet and Bassoon and the Sonata for Horn, Trumpet and Trombone which has been described as 'Pergolesi with his wig awry' (Roger Nichols, Grove) to the profound beauty of his last three sonatas for wind. All are extremely accessible. The Nash Ensemble gave a series of concerts of Poulenc's music at the Wigmore Hall earlier this year to great critical acclaim and Hyperion are delighted to be able to present this wonderful collection on this, Poulenc's centenary year.

The Nightfly is the 1982 debut solo album by Steely Dan vocalist Donald Fagen, featuring the hit songs "New Frontier" and "I.G.Y.". This pressing was mastered and made in Japan but meant for the U.S. market and is a "Target" CD.

"Gaucho" is the seventh studio album by the American Jazz rock band Steely Dan, released in 1980. The sessions for Gaucho represented the peak of Steely Dan's recording studio perfectionism and obsessive recording technique. To record the album, the band used at least 42 different musicians, spent over a year in the studio, and far exceeded the original monetary advance given to the band by their record label.

Gerard Souzay Sings Lieder By Claude Debussey is a 1962 Deutsche Grammophon HighRes re-issue starring Gerard Souzay, baritone and pianist Dalton Baldwin. Roger Nichols has written concise and well-written music notes. All the lyrics are available in French, German and English. A great vocal performance by Mr Souzay. Highly recommended.
